The password that will not go away

I have a question about a password problem in XP. I set up the Dial-up connection
with no problem, but my brother(in whose name the account is held), changed his password.
I've had no problem changing it in the connection before, but this time, the program
insists on saving the OLD password and not the New password. I've hit the "Remember
this password" button when the login screen comes up; I've deleted the account completely
and set up a new Dialup connection (twice); I've gone into Control Panel to set up
a new Dialup connection, but when I restart the program to connect to the Internet,
there's that stupid wrong password again. It does this with any program I use on
the Internet. (Right now, I use Eudora4.2-love it!; and Opera), but it wouldn't change
for MS programs either. I have anti-virus programs that can update themselves, but
I can't use this feature because I have to manually enter the right password each
time I log on. Can anyone help me? Thank you!
