This problem has been troubling me from the first time I cleaned up my hard drive
in Win XP. And formatting is no use because I format regularly (to get rid of the
junk I don't need easily) and xerox was there when I first booted up, before anything
was installed. I think if this didn't have something to do with spying in on us or
some illegal secret of microsofts they would have dealed with the complaints by releasing
a patch in the updates that appear in the task bar. I know they haven't done this
because after my last format I decided to download and install every patch XP provides
to see if it would actually fix any of the annoyances but I'm afraid that none of
the patches did any good. I think Windows is just too restricted. It always was even
with older versions like 98. Even in older Windows you still couldn't get rid of
things like Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, etc. I think our best choice is to
switch to linux, you can change every aspect of linux with a little help of the knowledge
of C++, the linux source, and compiler.
