I had the same issue. Tried to boot in safemode, but didn't really help. Then went
to www.microsoft.com and in the top left Search field, typed Bootvis. This tool
gives a lot of info, but can be used to check for problem startups (including the
time it takes for each driver to load). As well, there is an option to Optimize
Startup...I believe it reorganizes files to speed up the startup process.
