Mark, I've the same prob and searched the MS Knowledge Base where it notes the incompatibility
of OutExp6 and proofing tools from Office, but MS doesn't provide any solution. A
classic case of programmed redundancy where they want you to buy Office XP.
Instead, I've gone back to Win2000Pro (which comes with OutExp5 which now allows
me to use my Office97 to spell check emails.
However, I'm yet to try Office2000 (with its own proofing tools) with Windows XP
(with its OutExp6) to see if they are OK together.
Alternatively, I'm thinking about putting WinXP back and trying to install a copy
of OulookExp5 over its OutExp6. I doubt that will work, but its worth a try.
I'm spending a lot of time trying for an easy answer. Any suggestions??
Good luck, TonyC
