Yes... Some people write suggestions that they didn't check out. You CANNOT uninstall
Windows Media Player this way (or, actually, you can't in any other way but manually
deleting files from Safe mode).
You CAN uninstall Windows Messenger this way - you've probobly made a mistake when
editing "c:\windows\inf\sysoc.inf" file - line that starts with "msmsgs" inside section
[Components] must look exactly like this (without quotes): "msmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,,7".
Save file - you don't have to restart your computer - in Control Panel open "Add
or Remove Programs" applet, click on "Add/Remove Windows Components" and the last
item in the listbox will be (of cource, if you've done all correctly) "Windows Messenger".
Uncheck that item and click Next. That's all.
