Agreed, I have found that using the add/remove windows components to remove windows
media player beta 9 from an XP set-up will not work. It simply disengages the media
player, the program itself
remains on your hard drive. If you try to delete the folder, you cant. It will simply
return. The only effective way I have found is to boot into safe mode and use a 3rd
party software such as "eraser" to get rid it. Go to the url below this message and
you will see how embedded beta 9 is into the XP system. Microsft should have provided
an uninstall option for this piece of $hit!
