Pure DOS apps that use their own printer drivers are not supposed to be able to print
in XP. XP does not let those apps access resources directly, or at least that's
what the MS line is anyway. Interesting that it even worked at all. They will however
print on 9X systems just fine. Makes you wonder. Unfortunatly, I can't tell you
why it stopped printing as I have not seen a true DOS app yet that would print in
XP. There have been cases where an app could print to a file, (text) and then you
could print the file on XP but that's as close as I have come. Finally, depending
on the version of Word, it may not be a pure DOS version so it will print docs.
Is it possible that your Apps aren't pure DOS applications? If they were released
after 1995, they most likely aren't so they would probably print. If this is the
case, we have to look elsewhere for the problem. More info would help, such as the
App and version number or date of release.. C K
