Friday 1 Nov'02 Portland, OR Thank you, thank you! I just did a clean install of XP Pro on my Sony notebook, and was hoping that I would have a completely 'clean' desktop, since I run everything from the START menu. With the precedessor OS, Windows Me, the desktop Computer icon was obligatory. The Display menu is different on XP, and until I read your hint, I had completelly overlooked the inconspicuous 'customize' button you described. Whomever you are, I'm much obliged to you. Little annoyances remain annoyances, and life is better without annoyances... Appreciatively, 'Rick' Richard M. Brown Portland, OR
