Question about 'Connect to a Windows XP or 2000 system with a Windows 95, 98, or Me system over a Network'

I have recently been trying to network two pc's (peer to peer) together.
One system is running Windows XP Pro (with Administrator, Power user & Limited User...
guest account disabled)
The other system running Windows 98SE (with the same User names and passwords)
I seem to be able to setup the network ok on both machines (using different computer
names, using the same workgroup name etc.) wherefore each system can see the other
in the workgroup (network neighborhood).
The problem lies in connecting to the XP system from the 98 system.
Logged on as Administator in the XP system, I can connect to and access files from
the 98 system, but only as Administrator!!!..the other users on the XP system, however,
cannot.
Whilst logged on as administrator/power user(with the same passwords as on XP machine)on
the 98 system, I cannot connect to the XP System.... i keep getting a dialog box
prompting for a password to access the IPC$ resource...... (eg. \\computer name\IPC$)
When i enter the Administrator/power user password....i get an "incorrect password"
message....
Any ideas on where i am going wrong?...I am sure there must be some solution or configuration
setting to resolve this issue...
Some much needed technical advice/support to resolve this problem would be greatly
appreciated...
Thank you...
Chadley :)
