I am answering to my question as I found the answer myself !!! (no help provided 
by my ISP though ...)

When starting the wizard, there was a pop-up window with registration through a modem. 
I did close this windows immediately as I wanted DSL connection. I was wrong. I inadvertantly 
went to the second screen and canceled and, just like magic, choice for "Choose the 
Connect using a broadband connection that requires a user name and password option" 
was available !!!

Unfortunately, I cannot recreate as I applied SP1 and behavior is not the same anymore.

Someone has to take capture screens and send them to the webmaster as it is a very 
good bug from M$.
