If the noise and black screen occur right after you turn the computer on then it has nothing to do with drivers. Drivers are only used by an OS to access the hardware. When you first start the computer the bios is controling most hardware. The bios outputs to the video card the most basic video settings so it doesn't need any drivers It sounds like your monitor or video card is shot. Try swapping out the monitor and videw card one at a time to see which it is. New monitor same video card. New video card same monitor.
