These messages are annoying, beyond belief because you dont even need to do anything
to receive them. However, disabling the Messenger Service may not be the answer!
go to sellertools.com and download the Messenger Manager! This program will ensure
that you do not see any of unwanted messages ever again, unless you choose to look
at them.
Messenger Manager will filter all incoming Messenger messages and save only the messages
that contain words you deem to be important. For instance, if your antivirus alerts
you to a new virus by popping up a message that says New Virus found on your computer,
or your System Administrator alerts you to potential downtime by saying, 'Scheduled
Dowtime on xx/xx/xxxx', you could have these message saved by entering the word "Virus"
or "Scheduled" in your searchlist. Then all messages that contain either of those
words would be saved to a Passed messages list where you can read them at your convenience!
Works great and is guaranteed to save you the headache of closing pop-up after pop-up.
