I have a question about Turn
Off the PC-Speaker:
After disabling all sounds, whenever I would move the volume up and down in Volume
Control it would beep when I stopped and/or released the mouse at my desired setting.
In Windows 2k/XP there is a way to disable the beep, go into device manager, select
the "Show hidden devices" option, go to "non plug and play device" find that device
named "Beep" and set it to disabled.
The MS tech support flunky who said it was a motherboard problem should be boiled
in oil for such a blatant lie.
My last 3 PCs, my brothers PC, and all PCs at my job "beep" from the PC speaker whenever
all sounds are disabled. This is very annoying.
