My problem was solved after I unchecked "reboot on error" at My Computer->Properties->Advanced->Start
and restore->Automatically reboot (uncheck).
When I tried to shut down, I got a message that said that there was a problem with
kbdclass.sys, so I uninstalled the keyboard driver and the mouse driver and Logitech
Mouseware and rebooted. Then Windows found the plug n' play drivers after reboot
and I could shut down normally again.
