YAHOO!!! IT WORKED!!!! Okay, check this out! I popped off my NumLock key and realized that if I had a cylinder of just the right diameter it would hold the key in the up position. I used the plastic core from the "adding machine roll" in my calculator. It consists of two cylinders held together with fins. I used the inner cylinder with the fins removed and cut a piece just the right length. I had to cut the cylinder lenghtwise (so it's split and you could roll it out flat if you wanted to) because the diameter was too small to fit over the cylinder in the keyboad. Then I slipped the key down on to the cylinder an voila! The key is frozen in the up position and cannot be pressed!!! I'm a happy camper! Thanks for the inspiration!
