3ivx are Quick Time movies... Try downloading Divx502Bundle and see if that works.
Also try downloading Virtual Dub and try playing your avi's with the playback capability.
Go to Google and type in either of those to find download sites. Virtual Dub has
worked for me when no other player would. It takes a while to learn how to use it...
just experiment.
