re: Question about 'Stop Pop-Up Spam Messages' Thursday, January 16, 2003 at 6:23 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Casey (571 messages posted) Kazaa isn't your problem Windows is, go to start>run type "services.msc" (no qoutes)and hit enter , from the list find "messenger" right click and choose properties , from the general tab push the stop button , now in the dropdown box just above that set the startup type to "disabled" that should get rid of the "webpopup" type popups and has nothing to do with Windows Messenger, oh and enable the XP firewall on your internet connection!!
