Apologies for the sarcasm, but, In my humble opinion, SIS means Sh*t-InSide. This
may not be a welcome suggestion, but you could do whatever the motherboard requires
to deactivate the onboard sound and pick up any of the less expensive Hercules, Creative,
or other sound cards... some for as little as $30... and get worlds better sound...
as long as it doesn't have an SIS chipset, that is. I don't know what your specific
problem is, but the error message apparently is telling you that there seems to be
a service-connected file on the computer that has the same name as at least one of
the sound driver files. Weird stuff! Did you, by any chance install XP over top of
another operating system? If so, previous system files and/or driver files may be
mucking it up.
