I had a previous issue of a very long bootup and found it was caused by the serial port being activated and not used. I used it to test an old serial device and then went back to the USB. On boot computer was looking for serial device which wasnt there so it took almost 2-1/2 min to boot. I disabled serial port and everythings fine and quick.
