I have done numerous searches and this seems to be the only forum that at least gives a work around. copy/paste, opening/closing folders, moving folders will still crash my xp home windows explorer shell -- some days i can get away with the above movements for most of the day and then bang it goes. It seems to reoccur more often if i dont reboot so some days i could reboot quite often -- 6 times. have never had it happen when burning cd's
