I have taken computer back to store and they have downgraded the modem to V90 from
V92, as per the advice from Freeserve helpline. This has made no difference. Computer
store seem to think problem could be caused because I am using the Windows XP Fax
programme, they want to remove this. Do you think this could be the case. They
tried to look for the file you suggested ie. SL2904F SL XP hotfix, but could not
locate it on my computer. I have printed off your last advice, ie. downloading
the smartlink driver from Evesham, and will give this to technicians at store to
see if this solves the problem. If you can think of anything else, then please let
me know, I am slowly going mad by this problem. Thanks for all your help. Susie
