sorry not to replying anymore to this
i finally managed to solve my problem the hard way (and the only way that would work).
I connected via network. I had to buy a new cable for it, since i didn't know there
were two types of cables. But that way is sure to work, just set your tcp/ip protocol
to 192.168.0.1 on one computer and 192.168.0.2. i'm not sure about it, but perhaps
you need also to set an user account on each computer for a computer to access the
other. (running winxp and win98 i did not need it). but probably not, you just have
more likely do define your shares. i didn't have any luck with the parallel cable.
