Stopping Windows Messenger Services will only stop the popups that come in thru ports
controlled by it; Netbios 135, 137-139, and 445; it won't control web-based pop-ups.
Those popups when you are on the internet come thru browsers port 80. Something
like Pop-Up-Stopper, POW, or integrated modules in other products can help with these.
If you get pop-ups when not on the web, or a large amount of them, you might have
another problem...spyware. Lavasoft Ad-Aware or Spybot Search and Destroy can detect
and remove these modules so you can get some peace.
