need driver to make video in/out work

I have an old Gateway Solo 9100. Sometime last year I upgraded it from Windows 98
to Windows XP. Since the upgrade I have lost the use of my video in/out. I traced
it to a missing driver for my "multimedia video controller." This is some kind of
decoder that I guess works on top of my video card. I guess the decoder is a C-Cube
ZiVa. C-Cube is no longer around (acquired by another company), so no XP driver was
made for the decoder. I do have the Win98 C-Cube driver on disk. Basically my question
is, "is the use of my video in/out gone forever?" Maybe I could find another driver
that would trick the device into working. Maybe the Win98 driver could be altered
in some way to work. Any help, tips, would be appreciated.
