I hadn't even thought that this message might be caused by my Logitech Mouse and Keyboard. Come to think of it, I haven't seen this message in months, and coincidentally I didn't have the logitech keyboard and mouse drivers installed. I'm using the iTouch cordless mouse and keyboard, which connect to my PC via USB port. You ask: Do you have something plugged into a USB port? Why does that matter at all? I've never noticed any other USB device post "I'm connected on Port X" messages, and I've had three printers and a scanner all connected to USB for more than a year now. I guess since nobody has any good ideas, "we" should look to Logitech for a patch, or to Microsoft for a patch, or on Google for some helpful hints. Good luck - and thanks for this morsel of information! I can live without the Keyboard/Mouse drivers if it means one less annoying popup window.
