Dear Carole
I was having this problem and it was driving me mad, freeserve and BT couldn't help
me either. Our pc was only 6 weeks old (purchased from PC world),and they kept having
the computer back in, and modifying various things on it ( I am not sure what!),
to no avail. We kept getting the message and the disconnection. Eventually, after
I threw a hissy fit in pc world, they took it back and changed the modem to a completely
different make to the one that was installed in the factory, which I think was the
smartlink one. Since ditching the smartlink modem, we have had no problems at all
with this new modem. If you need advice I suggest you phone PC World Southend Branch
on 01702 560013, speak to Andy in the PC clinic, and hopefully he can advise you
of which brand of modem you should use to avoid the problem. You really have my
sympathies, as I thought I was going to go mad, if I saw ''ignore incoming call''
again!!! Hope this helps. Good luck. Susie
