Hey guys...i just bought my Dell 8200:
120 Gig HD
1GB RDRAM
Radeon 9700 Pro
2.4 GHz P4----
In the beginning,(1st of Jan-Feb 13th '03) when i would put the
computer on STANDBY...EVERYTHING would turn off....no fans would turn on...no audible
sound AT ALL.
NOW all of a sudden, when i NOW(February 14th '03) put the computer on STANDBY, i
hear a fan that is still on NOW and the hard drive winds down. I dont know about
you guys but...i do not like this sudden change(like night to day change). Ive tried
everything; Changing power setting profile to Minimal Battery Usage(no result), Going
to Power Options(no "APC" tab at all..but there is a "UPS" tab..?"), called DELL
tech support...they said it was running fine(could not explain why this change would
occurr), but have not yet looked into a BIOS resulotion to this change....Any suggestions?
Thanks for your time guys.
