If you have pcAnywhere, the fix is to download a new version of the file gernuwa.sys (new version is dated 10/14/2002) located in c:\windows\system32\drivers. File is available at the Symantec web site by drilling down thru interminable levels until you get to the search page for pcAnywhere. If you search on gernuwa.sys you'll get Bupkis. Search on chkdsk or checkdisk. If you don't have pcAnywhere, sorry, this won't help! Written in response to: Autochk looping - grrr.
