I have a new dell with Win XP and an older computer with Win 98SE. Have them linked
through a linksys router and a cable modem. I've got the same problem The new dell
see's the old computer but can't see any files or printers. Old computer can't see
new computer. Ran the Win XP cd to set up both computers for networking but to no
avail. Also have similar configuration at work with a newer laptop with xp and an
older dell with 98SE. Had many problem getting them to network but it just started
working almost by itself and I don't even know what I did. I didn't even use the
WIN XP cd to set those up. I did bring home the laptop and after some time trying
I got it to see the new computer with XP on it and to share with it but couldn't
get it to link to my older computer with 98SE on it. Please help. Thanks, Gene
