Typical how MS says this.
My problem was fixed, but not by a hub.
It turned out to be incompatible LAN-card. Didn't work in Win98.
Re-inserted my old 3Com and viola!
XP and Win98 are very good able to communicate with a cross-over.
My great question rises from these threads:
--> Why are there so many different answers and solutions, while they conflict eachother.
It seems that many things work for some cases, but sometimes it doesn't. Strange.
I didn't have to use any LAN setup diskette for my Win98. It just worked super.
Define ISP on LAN-card 1
Define local range on LAN-card 2
Enable Internet sharing on the main PC
There we go!
:)
