I had the same problem and setup Winxp host, Win98se client.
The client could initiate the dial. And could file share with the host in both directions
fine... Pinging the host 192.168.0.1 even worked.... It just wouldn't transfer data
through. IE.
Then I unloaded ZoneAlarm on the host and it worked... So I'm going to re-install
ZA and make it aware that I want it to grant traffic to the client...
