I noticed on my machine that a lot of devices share IRQ 9. However, going to the VIA Chipset website and d/l the latest AGP drivers seems to have solved my problems. I do think that I would still gain better performance overall by being able to individually assign IRQs to some of these devices so I will be following some of the advice below.
