I have 40GB HD - pre-installed/pre-config by the factory with WinXP on my Notebook. The pre-config are: C: 20GB (WinXP) - NTFS D: 14 GB (Data)- NTFS E: 5 GB (recover data files) -FAT32. C: and E: are OK with disk space avail. D: reported that I have only 3.6GB left of space. I have calculated from all Files/Folders/Sub-folders and hidden files and totalled approx 4 Gb used. The free space should be approx ~10GB left. I have ran Win XP utils defrag/check, etc. and Norton Utils 2002. Partition Magic 7 to checked the avail space in D: and they're all reported only 3.6 Gb avail. Can someone tell me where are the ~10GB missing space used for ???? -and more importantly how can I recover these spaces. Please Help :-( Thanks in advance.
