Before you pass judgement on thermal tapes........check this out........ we've been
testing the latest high tech thermal tapes and they've been exceeding all stringent
requirements.........temperature/humidity, aging, and generally harsh conditions.
Do NOT use the tapes that often come with heat sinks, chips, etc. that you buy in
stores. Go to the 'Chomerics' web site, who specializes in thermal tapes. You can
order two free samples on-line, which they Fed-Ex'd to me in two days.......no cost!
I'd recommend checking out the T414 and T421, but you can choose from a list. "The
T414 Thermal tape for heat sinks features high bond strength and is loaded with aluminum
oxide particles for awesome thermal performance and electrical isolation". Ionically
clean and no mess. The free samples you get will be more than you'll ever need..........http://www.chomerics.com/index.htm.......and
click on 'Thermal Management'. Hope this helps...
