I found that by simply using the Program Compatability Wizard (under accessories)
Nero works fine. It only takes a minute and makes a driver switch automatically.
I hope this is useful and saves much grief. The "wizard" shows some vestage of
IBM's prime directive of downward compatability still lives. Thank you IBM.
