None of you seems to have a decent answer to why you cannot simply browse, after having connected the XP guest with the XP host ... There is nothing wrong with the connection, the hard disks have been shared, and even when trying to insert the ip adress of the host on the guest, you will get error messages, saying that there is no share ! So if anyone has an acceptable sollution for browsing with a direct cable access network between two Windows XP pc's, please let me know !
