I'm fairly new to this stuff so apologies if this is a really stupid question but:
I followed your instructions to disable the messenger service and was wondering,
what happens to the ports that it controls once you've disabled it? Do they remain
open and if they do can someone get access to my computer over the net?
Also, can anyone recommend a beginner's guide to this kind of stuff (internet security,
spam etc)?
Cheers,
C.
