There is windows 2000 resource kit file that will replace files like shell32.dll
or other locked files I forget the name so sorry, but I remember seeing it mention
on a tip about winxp at members.aol/axcel216.
what it really does is automatically replaces the file on next boot. This
is much easier then going throught the recovery console or booting to a command line.
