There is a registry Tweak for the Win.XP forgetting it's settings, if you copy and
paste this
: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"NoSaveSettings"=dword:00000000 :
without the first & last colon or space into notepad and then rename it to XP Save
Settings.reg or something then merge it with the registry and reboot. I think that
you will find then it will remember the folder settings
