There are two easy ways to delete unwanted and unnecessary files. Right click internet
explorer icon and click properties. This will give you a dialogue box. Click general
tab, if necessary. Click on the appropriate buttons to clear cookies, history and
downloaded files. Or, open 'my computer', right click the appropriate drive (usually
c:/) Click the general tab and then the disc clean up button. then follow instructions.
Remember, these options may vary slightly, according to your OS. This can take a
few minutes. Also try defraging your drive. Click start, all programs, accessories
and system tools. Click on disk defragmenter. OS's vary, but you basically click
the button that says 'defragment' or defragment now' or something similar. Depending
on you hard drive size and condition, this can take some time. (even hours-possibly
overnight.) Some OS's give you options about checking the disk for errors, but this
will drastically increase the time it takes. However if this hasn't been done for
a while, I advise doing it. Hope this is helpful. if you run into difficulties, let
me know. It can be a bit daunting if you've never done it before.
