Quick check: have you entered your ISP's primary and secondary DNS servers' IP addresses on the connection? Right-click the connection icon under "Network Connections," choose properies, and go to the network tab. Enter your ISP's DNS servers. If you don't know them offhand, call your ISP's help desk--they'll give you the addresses over the phone.
