I am going crazy, with exactly the same problem. I have a wired network using a
Linksys Router. Two computer are currently on the network, one with Win98 the other
with WindowsXP Home Edition. I have had someone back several times to redo it as
my husband's computer cannot see to access the internet, my computer would be the
server, so must be on for him to use the network. He has not been able to get on
for 2 1/2 months. I have checked and rechecked the settings, everything appears
to be fine, I can see his computer on the network but he cannot get online and the
guy that did this no longer returns our calls. I have tried everything with no results.
I called another network place and was told that XP is the fault, which I do not
believe. If you have an answer or have found one please let me know. wakunkel@earthlink.net.
Thanks.
