I'm not sure about the fix described in the last post... but here's what I found...
My autorun wasn't working. I found this place and read all the posts. I checked the
value about "NoDriveTypeAutoRun" and mine is set to 91. This actually means that
you don't want to have autorun for the floppies... I haven't changed that value.
I have found another fix... or rather another value in the registry that needs editing...
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdrom
The value for "Autorun" needs to be dword: 1... Mine was set to 0. I just reset that
and rebooted and my autorun (autoplay or however you want to call it) is now working
without problems.
