I too struggled with the problem of same kind. Even regedit was of no help. Finally
I managed to get out of mess. I suggest you to try one simple thing which might work.
Go to command prompt
Change directory to E, F or G where ever the file you want to delete lies.
Type del filename(i.e. name of the file you want to delete)
The press enter
Thats all!!!!!
