I've been having similar problems for a while now. I have an new XP machine. It uses
Dragon Naturally Speaking v6.1, Read and Write 6 Gold, as well as Norton SystemWorks.
I've been finding that Dragon creates iexplore.exe.local and winword.exe.local files,
and these files lock the PC, 100%CPU when the relevant software is started (IE /
Word).
The Read&Write as also been locking the PC suddenly for no apparent reason. Today
I noticed drwwin in Task Manager when a 100%CPU lockup started. So I ended up here,
in the hope that I might find an answer.
Is there any way of getting rid of dwwin or disabling it or something? I've already
removed DrWatson from AE debug, but dwwin still takes over regularly.
I have a Kensington mouse & no other pointing devices.
This seems to be an on going problem for many people. Would love some answers.
SmallFry.
