Why in the world would you want to do web-development on a Windows OS?
Rather partition your laptop's HD and load a Linux distribution (minimally configured,
to basically give you web development features). Also, migrate to PHP, since plain
ol' ASP's days are counted. I recommend Linux, because it's FREE. Unix is just as
good, but if you can get your hands on Unix, you should go for the latter.
Trust me, I work for a Web-Development company, and we make millions of dollars each
month, from developing stuff in a FREE and STABLE environment.
You can easily configure your laptop to be dual-bootable, so that you still have
Windows XP on it as well (but heaven only knows what you want to use Windows for,
I just suppose you have a good reason, like being able to test your stuff in Internet
Explorer?).
Either way, that's totally the best advise available.
Good Luck!
