I, too, have experienced what I believe your describing. In short, I've tried all the tips (delete ".../BAGS", etc) and still can't get Explorer to behave. The deleted keys just come back along with my problems. I'm trying to get all folders, everywhere, everytime to open with the same Explorer view setttings. I upgraded from XP Home to XP Pro...I hope that doesn't have anything to do with it...
