So my burner (sony crx1611) isn't being detected by windows XP at all...Whenever
I load burning software (nero, cdrwin, etc) I get errors saying that there is no
medium detected in the drive and therefore it is unable to burn anything. What I
think the problem is that XP is auto detecting the drive as a standard CD-ROM instead
of a CD-RW drive (I've tried tricking XP to redetect the drive either by physically
uninstalling/reinstalling the drive or by disabling/renabling it in the computer
profile, but it keeps getting redetected as a standard CD-ROM). Anyone know of a
solution to convince XP to treat this like a true CD-RW which would allow Nero or
other programs to work?
