It is recommended that you should turn the Virtual mem off if you have more than

my opinion, I hate xp reading my harddrive constantly "without my permission", just
turn it off. Would anyone promise me that Winxp will NOT access the virtual memory
while there is enough RAM available? Better be more professional answer.
I have been thinking for long about greedy CPU companies increasing their frequency
without thinking any other devices. I was in a dream that someone manufactures a
storage device formed by gigabytes of SDRAM/DDRs. Imagine how fast it is to startup
OS in a RAM drive, even on Celeron XXXMhz. Stupid HDDs are slow and noisy (except
5400rpm tortoise), even RAID0. Minutes of starting up is NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! The definition
of FAST here should be at most 10s of starting up time and computer should totally
SHUT UP! No fans, no hdd noises...
after coming down, I say, please turn the virtual mem off by increasing your mem
up to 1Gbytes.
