Frank,
I have what appears to be the same problem: some, but not all, sounds have stopped
playing. Menu clicks still work, but (among others) the Empty recycle bin, Maximize
and Minimize sounds have stopped playing and have been replaced with a system beep.
I thought maybe turning the beep off might turn the sounds back on, but of course
it didn't.
Did you, or anybody, ever find out what the problem was?
Thanks
